ActionAid Palestine to hold Expanded Meeting Committee of Business Incubator and Gender Unit in the Ministry of National Economy

Within the activities of project of INTERNISA,

 

Hebron-Palestine-ActionAid Palestine (AAP) held an expanded meeting with the representatives of the Palestinian ministry of national economy, its gender unit and directorate of the national economy and the committee of Business incubator in the governorate of Hebron. This meeting aimed strengthening the means of cooperation, introducing participants in the meeting to the project of INTERNISA, formulating joint work mechanisms with them and briefing them about projects AAP implements in the field of economic empowerment for young people and young women.

The participants in the meeting were briefed about the details of projects and about INTERNISA project- Developing the INTERNISA network of synergies to increase the number of digitally skilled women employed in the ENI CBC MED territories via matching demand and supply in the labour market.

The meeting focused on the role of INTERNISA project in bridging the gender digital gap and provide women with marketable digital skills and qualify skilled labors according to the needs of labor market. The project will increase the efficiency and relevance of education and professional training to the labor market by combining digital skills in the digital sector with professional development in the agri-food, textile, tourism, and financial sectors.

The participants in the meeting discussed the current economic policies and communication mechanisms with women and conditions of women projects and role of gender units in promoting women projects through the presentation of gender unit in the ministry of national economy addressing its role in all development projects funded by different donors.

The participants in the meeting recommended that it would be important to enhance close joint cooperation to achieve the objectives of INTERNISA project through projects and specially during the phase of trainings targeting women and businesswomen. Those trainings aimed at enhancing the digital skills of targeted women and sectors through INTERNISA project.
