ActionAid Palestine Supports Fun Day for Children in Gaza an in Partnership with Al-Aqsa Sports Club.

Gaza -Through its Programme of Child sponsorship, ActionAid Palestine (AAP supported the Al-Aqsa Sports Club in organizing   recreational activities that included several fun and psychosocial support such as Palestinian folkloric dance -dabkah and competitions by the Al-Aqsa Sports Club team. Gifts were distributed to children.

This fun day targeted 60 children to mitigate the psychological effects of the repeated wars against the Gaza Strip and illegal blockade imposed on Gaza strip for more than 15 years.

The participating children also expressed their joy and happiness towards participating in this fun day.  

Mohammed Abu Ghouleh expressed his happiness: "I am very happy to join the fun day and participate in all activities that organized by Al Aqsa Sports Club as it is the only place that we can go to. I feel freedom, comfort and enjoyment here in this place” comfortable and enjoyable."

Renan Mansour: "Joining these activities makes me happy because I used to stay at home. I can play and dance in this place. I  feel like a butterfly. I really want to thank you for your support and the gift."

ActionAid Palestine Programme "child sponsorship" implements this type of activity to promote the growth and well-being of the Palestinian child by supporting e-education and improving school infrastructure, and supporting the implementation of recreational activities and psychological relief activities for children and mothers. AAP works in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Education and other local partners in the southern West Bank and Gaza Strip to implement the programme's activities.
