ActionAid Palestine to Support Technological Infrastructure of a number of schools in the southern West Bank.

JJK88

Through its program of “Child Sponsorship” in coordination with the Palestinian ministry of education, ActionAid Palestine (AAP)provided for 30 Palestinian schools in the Old City of Hebron and the South Hebron area with office equipment, interactive screens, computers, Braille machines for people with disabilities, and printing machines.

This support aims to enhance the technological capabilities of schools necessary to deliver quality education and improve the school environment for students. This is to ensure that education is a human right that must be protected and pursued. The development of school infrastructure reflects the care enjoyed by the younger generations and contributes to creating the appropriate conditions for achieving quality education and keeping pace with technological development. This support also seeks to enhance the quality and effectiveness of education, as teachers are able to deliver lessons better when the necessary facilities and equipment are available, and students are able to focus and make full use of the educational materials provided. The presence of technological devices stimulates innovation and creativity in the educational process, by providing a technologically equipped educational environment and spaces for interaction, cooperation and practical experiences, which encourages students to develop their skills and discover their creativity.

More than 10,000 students from these schools benefited from this support.

This support targets schools located in remote and marginalized areas in south of West Bank and the old city of Hebron (H2). Those areas are parts of Area “C” which accounts for 60% of West Bank and remains under full Israeli control.

ActionAid Palestine Programme "child sponsorship" works in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Education to provide e-education and opportunity for Palestinian schools in Hebron Governorate. AAP also supports recreational activities, extracurricular activities, and psychological relaxation activities to improve children's educational well-being.
