ActionAid to Organize training on Feminist Leadership
Occupied Palestinian Territories -Bethlehem -Global Platform Palestine(GPP) of ActionAid Palestine (AAP) has concluded a feminist leadership training program targeting 18 young men and women from different governorates of West Bank aged between 18 and 35 years old. The training was organized in lasted for three days in GPP’s office based in Bethlehem .
The training aimed to introduce participants to the concept of feminist leadership and empower them to acquire relevant skills.
The training included a variety of theoretical and practical activities, organized using diverse participatory methods, such as group work, discussion groups, role-playing, and practical applications, providing opportunities for open dialogue and idea exchange. Participants were also encouraged to adopt feminist leadership as part of their daily and professional lives.
The training focused on the concept of feminist leadership and its relationship to power dynamics , as well as the different types of feminist movements. The trainees were trained on skills for analyzing power dynamics and stakeholders related to feminist issues.
The trainer in GPP Reem Erikat highlighted the active interaction of participants with training’s activities : “ the discussions around topics of training sessions were interesting and received attention of participants. Feminist leadership training contributes to empowering young men and women with a deeper understanding of the concept of leadership and its impact on society, thereby enhancing their role in achieving sustainable development.
