ActionAid Palestine to Organize Training for Women on Feminist leadership and Digital Marketing

Hebron - West Bank - ActionAid Palestine’s Global Platform organized a specialized training targeting 22 women who benefited from the “Valiance-Basala -Empowering Women in the Old City” project in the Old City of Hebron, funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. This project targets marginalized women in areas of H2 as Tal Rumida,  the southern area in the city of Hebron and Al-Jalajel . This training was implemented in cooperation with the Hebron Governorate Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the aim of empowering the targeted women entrepreneurs and small businesswomen in the field of digital marketing.

This training was designed according to assessment of the needs of the targeted women to improve their chances for entering the labor market and promoting their projects at the lowest cost and effort. The training aimed to develop women's skills in promoting their projects, specifically home businesswomen. The training included a marketing and work mechanism that gives them the opportunity to advance and make their projects successful. The participants were introduced to marketing information based on scientific foundations and analysis of various social media platforms in terms of spread and number of users.

The training was implemented in two phases. The first phase of training focused on developing the leadership, communication and communication skills of the participants, with a special focus on presentation skills and women’s leadership skills, as these skills are directly linked to women’s empowerment.

The second phase of the training focused on developing women’s digital skills. The women were introduced to the importance of digital marketing and trained on mobile photography skills and how to use social media platforms for marketing and improving their projects and increasing their involvement in entrepreneurship and developing the existing projects. Women were also trained on how to make sponsored commercials advertisements.
