Project of “Start Your Business” to Provide Young Entrepreneurs with Technical and Legal Consultations to Improve their Enterprises

Hebron-West Bank-ActionAid Palestine (AAP) implemented mentoring sessions and individual and group consultations concerning the legal and technical issues of entrepreneurial enterprises. Those sessions targeted more than 28 young entrepreneurs in governorates of Bethlehem and Hebron that “Start Your Business” project that AAP implements in partnership with Bethlehem Business Incubator (BBI) and the Yunus Social Business Center (YSBC) and funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) through International Voluntary Service for Development (VIS).

The individual consultations focused on means of developing business skills that young entrepreneurs need to run their enterprises. However, the group sessions provided participants with detailed consultations on the importance of how to utilize social media for marketing products. Legal issues related to registering enterprises in the Palestinian ministry of National Economy were also addressed during those sessions. They were also introduced to Palestinian Labor Law.

Those consultations and mentorship aim to support young entrepreneurs to develop their ideas and link them to technical areas. They also seek to build their capacities in freelance work and improve the most important skills they need. Consultations were provided by experts and specialists.

It is worth mentioning that “Start Your Business” project is a project that aims to promote economic empowerment to young people in Palestine by developing and creating emerging social and traditional enterprises as well as creating an attractive environment for emerging enterprises in areas of Bethlehem, East Jerusalem,Hebron ,Ramallah,Tulkarem,Jenin and Jericho.
