ActionAid Palestine Puts Smiles on the Faces of Children in Gaza Strip

Child Sponsorship program of ActionAid Palestine (AAP) supported an entertainment day for children that was organized in partnership with Al-Aqsa sport club in the areas of Al-Mighraqah and West Nuisrat in Gaza strip.
More than 120 children enjoyed playing recreational and entertainment games and receiving educational games. Children participated in cultural activities, competitions, Folkloric dance(Dabkkah) and clowns’ games in a festive atmosphere of joy in presence of the programme coordinator in Gaza and members of Al-Aqsa sport club.
Children in those areas suffer from psychological and social stresses resulting from blockaded imposed on Gaza strip and lack of public spaces for children. Hence, recreational activities of ActionAid’s Child Sponsorship seek to help children with social and psychological support activities.
ActionAid’s Child Sponsorship programme seeks to save funds needed to implement different projects in the poorest and most marginalized communities around the world. The programme based on linking the Palestinian child with the sponsor from other countries by providing regular financial donations that will be used to finance development programs aiming to improve the surrounding environment of children. Funds are directly used for developing community and improving the conditions and welfare of children.
