INTERNISA Palestine to Organize Two Workshops for Presenting Outcomes “We Digitize It”

Hebron -Bethlehem- West Bank – INTERNISA Palestine funded by ENI CBC Med Programme -Developing the INTERNISA network of synergies to increase the number of digitally skilled women employed in ENI CBC MED territories via matching demand and supply in the labour market- oorganized two workshops for presenting the results of INTERNISA campaign “We Digitize it” aiming to promote digital skills for women.

The two workshops were organized by Radio Nisa FM which was assigned to implement the media activities of the campaign. Those activities included radio episodes and awareness videos aiming to motivate employers and advertisers to adopt the best practices and policies empowering women and improving their digital skills. 

 The workshops were attended by many women activists, representatives of civil society organizations, women organizations, marginalized women, local companies, cooperatives and chambers of commerce. 

The gender researcher representing radio Nissa FM, Dalal Hajj Yassin presented the results and outcomes of the campaign “ we digitize it” on social media.

The communication and advocacy coordinator in AAP Palestine, Riham Jafari, highlighted INTERNISA project that AAP implements. INTERNISA focuses on matching demand and supply in the labor market. Jafari stressed the fact that this project servs the goals of AAP related to empowering women and youth and enhancing their economic opportunities by building their professional and personal skills.

The participants in those two workshops suggested many recommendations stressing the importance of building capacities in the field of digital skills. It was also recommended that it is essential for women products to have commercial brand. In addition, women demanded to be empowered in all fields, design polices for ensuring rights of workers and female workers, raise awareness of community on workers’ rights, bridge gender gap in labor market and exchange experience and knowledge on the needs of labor market. Participants recommended that it is essential to increase the possibilities employability for women to enter Palestinian labor market and apply mechanisms that could help women to electronically market their products.    

INTERNISA project aims to bridge the digital gender gap and provide marketable digital skills in Mediterranean territories by developing a network and portal that brings closer the demand and supply the labour market by providing women with digital skills and delivering professional training in agri-food, financial, textile and tourism sectors. The project develops online, offline services addressed to women and employers providing training curricula and personal consulting. Project activities will culminate with interventions related to matching of labour demand and supply through an online platform and job fair to foster contacts among job seekers and employers.
